«Acústicas del litoral de Barcelona. Una aproximación etnográfica al espacio sonoro urbano» (Acoustics of Barcelona’s Coastline: An Ethnographic Approach to Urban Sound Space) was a research project that investigated the relationship between sound, public space, and urban renewal in contemporary Barcelona. The project was conducted between 2007 and 2010 by an interdisciplinary research team from the Ciudad Sonora research group, including social psychologist Noel García, geographer Claire Guiu, anthropologists Sandra Anitua, Miguel Alonso, and Ana Juan Cantavella, and ethnomusicologist Iñigo Sánchez. The sound art collective Orquesta del Caos collaborated as a project partner. This initiative received funding from the Department of Culture of the Catalan Government through the Inventari del Patrimoni Etnològic de Catalunya grants.
